Regulated mortgage advice here is given by people who hold CeMAP. The first paper, FRE1, is the groundwork: who regulates the market, how firms get permission, and who does what in a mortgage case. That is where training begins. New joiners sit it in exam conditions — the first FRE1 mock paper is free to take in full, with no account.

If you already hold CeMAP, or you are part-way through it, send a short note and a CV to specialist@cffl.co.uk. Tell us what you have advised on and what you want to learn next. There may not be a live role on the day you write; a clear letter still reaches the directors.
